The notre dame cathedral, located in paris, is one of the great examples of gothic architecture still present today. aside from its beauty, the structure is also made monumental due to the amount of time and effort that has gone into builing and preserving it.

this piece of work was completed last year for another architecture course, and i consider it to be my best work up to date. The model was to be based on observations and interpretations of teh UNSW law builduing.

 

the amount of movement in conjunction with the variety of angles present in the building, make it not unlike a maze. this is where the design came from.

each of the boxes are on hinges which allow movement through 180 degrees, in order to portray teh constant flow of traffic in and around the UNSW law building
